We are not our “stories”

The last few weeks have been intense!  I have been making a lot of inner discoveries.  The one thing I am gaining clarity about is that we are not our “stories”.   You know, the thoughts that continuously play in our mind like a movie that is set to play on a loop.  Things that sound like “what I have to say is not important, so why would anyone listen to my ideas, so I won’t say anything at all” or “as soon as I do (fill in the blank) then I will start to (fill in the blank again)”.  These are “stories” that we tell ourselves that then manifest as certain patterns or behaviors in our lives.  Usually these “stories” have come from an experience that has happened and we then believe that our “story” is who we are.  This is not the truth.  Who we are is a spark of the Divine Creator.  A BEing so amazing that we cannot logically comprehend our true depth.  But our heart knows.  Our soul guides us to what will ultimately heal us.  I did not say that the journey would be easy, sometimes things can get pretty intense.  But as we move forward into the pain and confront our fears, that is when the magic begins to happen!  Freedom!  As we begin to leave our “stories” behind, we find ourselves feeling lighter.  Then we really begin to soar!  We must begin to ask ourselves the question, am I afraid because I will not be able to accomplish what I set out to do or am I afraid that I will and I will finally have to admit to myself, I AM DIVINE!
