A Woman Transformed

the transformation of Woman

In a  recent post I wrote about what felt like a turning point for me.  I feel as though I have experienced one of my biggest shifts to date.  At least that is my perception at this time.  An expansion of immense proportions.

As I AM always a work in progress, I AM now seeing the beauty and blessing that has been my life’s journey.  Pieces of the puzzle clicking into place.  Yet, even through all of this, there is an excitement building, an anticipation of things to come.  I continue my journey with the knowledge that I AM truly a woman transformed.

Nature Speaks

nature speaks

Saturday was the Lion’s Gate (8/8/8) and the beautiful animal messengers were out in full force.  As I was driving past the open field as I was leaving the area I live in I saw a little rabbit do something I have never seen before.  He raised his back end off the ground with his back “legs” stretched as straight as they could go.  He looked like he was doing the downward dog yoga pose.  Then he raised up on his front “legs” too!  Just like he was standing on his tippy toes on all four limbs!  What an incredible sight to witness!

When I was returning home from picking up a bite to eat, I was driving down this road where there were no other cars (unusual for this particular road) and as I came around this small bend there was a doe standing in the road.  I immediately stopped to give her time to get out of the road.  There on the side of the road on a grassy area were her two fawns.  Oh how beautiful they were with their little white spots.  She walked over to the grassy area, but on the other side of this small bush from where her babies were.  Then one after the other they made their way around the bush to be with their mother.  Then all three looked at me.  In that moment I experienced pure Grace.  Their beautiful, gentle energy was palpable.  Now I understand why there were no other cars on that road.  I would not have been able to fully experience that moment if there were.  Never doubt that we are constantly surrounded by the Love of our Creator, as these two beautiful moments in nature are a testament.  I AM blessed and feel such gratitude for BEing  a part of those moments.

Below are some symbolism meanings I found:

Rabbits love to chew, and their teeth never stop growing. Symbolically, chewing implies repetition, contemplation, and breaking concepts down into component parts. Their diet is light and green, which implies symbolism of health and prosperity.

Rabbits are burrowers and their deep, maze-like tunnels symbolize connections with primal energy as well as Mother Earth energies. The rabbit encourages us to retreat within, get warm, and collect ourselves.

They also prompt us to connect with the Mother in deeper ways. Rabbits prefer to be on the ground; they are true earth element animals. We cannot help but be reminded of groundedness in their presence.

Rabbits and hares are nocturnal and share the same lunar symbolism. The moon is often depicted as a rabbit in many cultures, thus lending associations of deep intuition and emotionality. For sure, the rabbit symbolizes reflection.

Deer’s medicine includes gentleness in word, thought and touch. The ability to listen, grace and appreciation for the beauty of balance. Understanding of what’s necessary for survival, power of gratitude and giving, ability to sacrifice for the higher good, connection to the woodland goddess, alternative paths to a goal.

This two meanings do resonate with me and what is occurring in my life at this time.  I Love when I AM able to BE fully present to notice when nature speaks.

When is a gift not a gift

I had an AHA moment based on an experience I had recently. It brought up this question for me. When is a gift not a gift? My answer, when it comes with strings attached. When someone gives me a gift, in whatever form that may take, I like to feel it is given from the heart of the giver. But I have come to the realization that some gifts come with strings attached. These strings can take the form of expectations and/or agendas (whether the giver is aware of it or not). The expectation is now that they have given you this gift, somewhere down the line there is an expectation that you now owe that person something in return. This is NOT a gift given from the heart. How will you know when a gift was not given from the heart? When you start to receive questions like, remember when I gave you that gift? Or, where is that gift I gave you? This will begin to happen again and again over time. It then becomes clear that a gfit that you thought was given with love has now become a gift filled with responsibilities to the giver of the gift. Now what once felt light and love filled begins to feel like a chain around your ankle. Please understand my intent is not to appear ungrateful. I am grateful for all blessings bestowed upon me. I just wish to make others aware that some blessings come with an opportunity for a lesson to be learned.
